Congratulations to Haley Hargus for winning this state award honoring excellent work with her 4-H Portfolio, which lists three years of work in the beef project. Each year, NC 4-H honors the most outstanding 4-H’ers in Agriculture, Citizenship and Community Service, and Family and Consumer Sciences with three named trophies. Haley earned a gold medal with her 2019 portfolio at the district and state levels, and will receive $100 for her work from NC 4-H. She says, “I love 4-H because it is a huge part of my life and I learn about one of my favorite things which is agriculture. It has helped me make friends I will have forever and has helped me become a better person.”
